A respected and growing lift business is seeking a Service Business Development Executive to accelerate growth within its maintenance division. This is a pure new business role — suited to a highly driven sales professional with a proven ability to open doors, build new relationships, and close complex, high-value service contracts. You’ll be focused entirely on generating new revenue streams, not managing existing accounts. Success in this position means establishing new partnerships, navigating long sales cycles, and winning long-term service agreements that strengthen the company’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities
-
Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across the lift maintenance market.
-
Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospects, engaging decision-makers within property, facilities, and engineering sectors.
-
Lead the full sales process from initial contact to contract signature.
-
Prepare, lead, and complete detailed tender submissions, ensuring commercial accuracy and competitiveness.
-
Conduct site visits and consultative meetings to assess client needs and create tailored service solutions.
-
Present professional proposals that clearly communicate value, reliability, and ROI.
-
Work collaboratively with internal operations and service teams to ensure smooth post-sale transition.
-
Maintain accurate CRM data, reporting on pipeline progress, forecasts, and performance metrics.
-
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory updates to maintain a market-leading approach.
About You
-
Proven experience in B2B new business sales, ideally within lift maintenance, technical services, or facilities management.
-
Strong hunter mentality — ambitious, tenacious, and motivated by targets and success.
-
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
-
Strategic and analytical mindset, able to manage long sales cycles (12–36 months).
-
Comfortable working autonomously with accountability for your own pipeline.
-
Confident user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
-
Full UK driving licence essential, with willingness to travel to client sites and company offices.
Desirable:
-
Experience selling service or maintenance agreements.
-
Knowledge of lift industry standards, compliance, and regulations.
Remuneration / Package
-
Competitive salary with uncapped commission.
-
Comprehensive training and development pathways.
-
Long-term career progression within a nationally expanding team.
-
Full benefits package including pension, holidays, and wellbeing support.
