A respected, long-established lift business is seeking a Modernisation Sales Executive to support the continued growth of its modernisation division. This confidential appointment is ideal for a commercially astute sales professional who understands the technical and operational aspects of lift modernisation and thrives in a consultative, relationship-driven environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and securing modernisation opportunities — extending the life of existing lift assets while driving sustainable, profitable growth for the business. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and convert modernisation opportunities within both existing maintenance portfolios and new business prospects.

  • Conduct site visits and technical assessments in collaboration with engineering and design teams.

  • Prepare and present tailored proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and commercial competitiveness.

  • Manage the entire sales process from initial contact through to contract negotiation and handover.

  • Maintain a structured, accurate sales pipeline with regular forecasting and reporting.

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships across property, facilities, and engineering stakeholders.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal service and operations teams to ensure the highest quality delivery.

 

About You

  • Proven background in B2B sales, ideally within the lift industry or a related engineering or technical environment.

  • Experience in lift modernisation or new equipment sales is highly desirable.

  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to prepare detailed proposals and negotiate confidently.

  • Technically competent, able to discuss lift systems and conduct site assessments.

  • Self-motivated, structured, and capable of managing a long-cycle sales process.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative and professional approach.

  • Full UK driving licence required.

 

The Package

  • Basic salary £50,000 - £55,000 reflective of experience and performance history.

  • OTE's = £20,000 - £25,000 Uncapped commission and annual performance bonus.
