A well-established and respected lift company is seeking an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join its regional team. This role is essential to maintaining the company’s reputation for reliability, safety, and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all planned preventative maintenance visits to ensure lifts are operating safely and efficiently.

  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and fault calls, diagnosing and repairing issues within agreed service levels.

  • Aim for first-time fix performance to minimise downtime and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Carry out minor repairs and adjustments to prevent future breakdowns and maintain continuous service.

  • Use company field management tools to record all work in real time, ensuring accurate reporting and billing.

  • Identify and report potential opportunities for repairs, upgrades, or modernisation.

  • Participate in a shared on-call rota to provide emergency breakdown cover outside of normal working hours.

  • Support colleagues across neighbouring areas when required to ensure consistent service coverage.

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, representing the business professionally at all times.

  • Adhere to all EHSQ standards, maintaining a safety-first approach at every site.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Lift Service, Maintenance, or Repair (essential).

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a lift service or callout engineer.

  • Strong technical knowledge in both mechanical and electrical lift systems.

  • Proven fault-finding and problem-solving ability.

  • Excellent understanding of lift industry safety and compliance standards.

  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused.

  • Confident using digital service tools and mobile reporting platforms.

  • Able to work independently while contributing to a wider regional team.

  • Full UK driving licence (essential).

 

Remuneration / Package

  • Basic salary starting at £45,000 and rising for more experienced candidates.
