Finance Operations Director

Location: Kent (Hybrid Working Flexibility)

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Operations Director to join their dynamic team in Kent. This permanent position offers hybrid working flexibility, combining both in-office and remote work options.

Job Purpose

The Finance Operations Director will be responsible for organizing and managing all financial business management and operations activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the company's financial health and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports to present the company's financial status and operating results per revenue stream.
  • Employee Coaching: Advise and coach employees to ensure optimal performance, motivation, and improved interpersonal relations.
  • Department Coordination: Coordinate and monitor the work of all Finance department employees.
  • Payment Monitoring: Monitor and control all payments, collections, and financial documents.
  • Regulation Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Data Consolidation: Consolidate financial data and report to senior management.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular contacts with banks, financial institutions, government institutions, and external partners.
  • Accounts Management: Monitor advance payments, accounts payable and receivable, and report to the Managing Director and Group CFO.
  • Resource Distribution: Distribute financial resources where applicable and prepare budget planning.
  • Strategic Support: Assist the Managing Director with strategic decisions and external reporting.
  • Project Financial Review: Review financial information related to installation projects, ensuring accurate reporting and profitability analysis.
  • Receivables Collection: Organize collection of receivables and manage overdue obligations via credit control.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flows, oversee daily banking activities, and prepare short-term and long-term cash reports.
  • Earnings Distribution: Propose calculations and distribution of earnings.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare reports and comparative analysis of operating results against budget and previous years.
  • Policy Development: Ensure financial policies are followed and propose improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Budget Performance: Provide insights into budgetary performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Revenue and Expenditure Monitoring: Monitor the company's revenues and expenditures, determining fund surpluses and ensuring their optimal placement.
  • Contract Advisory: Advise on financial aspects when concluding contracts with customers and monitor contract realizations.
  • Shareholder Reporting: Submit required financial statements to shareholders.
  • Working Capital Optimization: Recommend strategies for optimizing working capital and improving cash efficiency.
  • Liquidity Improvement: Undertake and propose measures to enhance the company's liquidity.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in senior financial roles.
  • Experience in the lift and escalator industry is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a financial team.
