About the Role
As a Multi-Disciplined Fire & Security Engineer, you will be a crucial part of our team, responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault finding of a range of fire and security systems for our esteemed clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault finding of Fire and Security Systems.
- Work with conventional & addressable fire systems, including Advanced, Kentec, Ctec, Morley, Gent, Notifier, Vesda, etc.
- Handle intruder alarms, particularly Galaxy, Texecom, Eaton, etc.
- Manage IP CCTV systems with expertise in Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Avigilon, etc.
- Install and maintain access control systems, including Paxton, ACT Vanderbilt, Grosvenor, etc.
- Conduct emergency lighting tasks and ensure compliance with British Standards for fire systems, intruder alarms, access control, and CCTV.
- Provide IT support for security and communication devices and maintain accurate records in MS Office suite.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with NSI & BAFE registered companies.
- In-depth knowledge of fire and security system software.
- Strong fault diagnosis, repair skills, and the ability to work independently.
- A full, clean driving license.
- Working knowledge of current British Standards in relevant fields.
- IT proficiency, particularly with MS Office (Word & Excel).
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rota and share expertise with team members.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Qualifications/Experience in BS5839, BS50131, PD6662, BS60839, NCP109, BS8418, BS6276, NCP104, BS5266, and FIA Units.
- ECS or CSCS card.
- PASMA and IPAF certifications.
- Proven IP experience.
- Ability to satisfy vetting to BS7858 and pass an Enhanced DBS check.
